What is a Tech Stack?

Think of your tech stack like a toolbox for your business. It’s all the apps, software, and tools you use to run things—like selling, marketing, booking, emailing, or tracking money. Each tool does something different, but together they help your business work better and faster.

Why Your Stack Matters - The right tools can help you:

  • Save time

  • Make more money

  • Feel less stressed

But the wrong tools? They can slow you down and cause headaches.

How to Improve Your Tech Stack

You don’t need to be techy—just:

  1. Look at what you’re already using
(Is it working? Too complicated? Overlapping? Time to cancel some subscriptions?)

  2. Pick tools that make sense for you and talk to each other
(So you don’t have to copy and paste things everywhere.)

  3. Ask for help - A tech-savvy friend (or someone like me!) can help sort out what you’ve got, streamline, and even pick new, right-for-you tools.

*Just like a chef sampling a new ingredient, I’m constantly staying in the loop and vetting out the best tools and features.

What’s in a Tech Stack? Most businesses use:

  • Contact List and CRM - Know who your people are and how that affects your business

  • Website – Where people can learn about you or buy from you.

  • Email Inboxes & Email Marketing – Set up aliases, filter rules, and smart folder systems to keep inboxes organized. Create automated welcome series, design branded newsletter templates, and build streamlined systems for sending consistent, engaging emails that drive action.

  • Money Tools - Invoicing, Donation Platforms, Contract and/or Point of Sale (POS) System

  • Integration and Automation Tools - repetitive actions? get them to work on autopilot.

  • Calendar Booking (with meeting links included!) - now people can quickly find a time to connect with you and your team

  • Shortcuts - keyboard tricks for you to spend less time clicking buttons to do an action.

  • AI - ChatGPT, CoPilot, and so much more with prompts that work for you.

A good tech stack feels right, clears the clutter and help you grow faster, with less friction.
